About Me

 

Jeni Seo is an acting coach, director, and actor specialising in psychophysical performance training and interdisciplinary approaches to actor development.

Her coaching experience includes working with actors at all levels, including an Emmy-winning performer.

Jeni holds an M.F.A. (Distinction) in Actor Training and Coaching from The Royal Central School of Speech and Drama. She trained as an actor at Dongguk University, earning a B.A. in Drama, and holds a Drama Teacher Certificate from the Ministry of Education in Korea. In 2017, she received the artist bursary from the Korea Culture & Arts Foundation. Jeni is actively involved in the Michael Chekhov Teacher Training Programme at The Michael Chekhov Association (MICHA) and has been a member since 2021.

Jeni has taught at prominent drama schools in the UK, including ArtsEd, East15, The Royal Central School of Speech and Drama, Identity School of Acting, and University of Northampton. She works across film and stage in the UK, the US, and Korea. Her recent coaching work includes the Star Wars TV series "The Acolyte" on Disney+.

Her intercultural practice blends diverse methodologies, including Viewpoints, Michael Chekhov, Demidov, and Stanislavski techniques, alongside Yoga, Meditation, Qi Gong, and Dahnjeon breath work. Specialising in the Awakened Attention Acting Paradigm, she developed this innovative approach during her M.F.A. research at The Royal Central School of Speech and Drama.

Jeni has taught at prestigious drama schools in the UK, including ArtsEd, East15, The Royal Central School of Speech and Drama, Identity School of Acting, and the University of Northampton. Her professional work spans across both stage and screen in the UK, the US, and Korea. Recent coaching credits include the Star Wars TV series The Acolyte on Disney+.
